Neil van Niekerk's On Camera Flash

I just got my copy of this awesome book and as soon as I opened it I knew it was for me. From the beginning Neil explains that he won't bog the reader down in mathematical equations and I like that--a lot.
Happy reading to me, I have my tea and a healthy appetite for learning to sculpt light.

Tree Time

Well, it's that time of year where people are going in the attic( or closet) and bringing out the trees that are to be decorated and garnished with glittery stuff. I haven't used a tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus in years.

I have been thinking about how special Christmas was for me as a child, presents were good but being a southern person it was the time with family that just made it so joyous and we weren't told that Santa brought us gifts.. We were told that we were celebrating the birth of our Savour.

I miss those times,they were very special to me, it's not the tree or the presents or all the commercial hoopla but the love and coming together to celebrate Jesus.

Text Free Zone

Things have changed tremendously when it comes to technology and they're getting better each day. I like that but sometimes it's good to make a detour to the way things used to be before everyone had gadgets. Now small children have hi tech Cellphones and no one verbally communicates anymore----except God. He's still talking and listening in His text free zone.

We rarely use heat when we have cooler temperatures, just a few extra layers and life is nice and comfy.

Canon Over TV

I'm just not that into TV, give me a camera anyway! One thing photography does is cause you to SEE differently and to be more aware of your surroundings and the various perspectives for capturing an image.

You can capture even what you think has no photographic value. See what's no always evident to the naked eye. I love how the Lord allows us to eyes beyond our eyes.
